13-year-old Samuel gains 453.2 ELO in just three tournaments

Born on October 8, 2012, one of the most talented youngsters from Andhra Pradesh, India, CM Samuel Stephen Noble did something absolutely incredible. Samuel gained a massive 453.2 ELO in just three tournaments played within a month. Samuel started the month of July with a rating of 2011 and with a massive 453.2 ELO gain, his live rating is now 2464.2.

From the 4th to the 12th of July, he played at the VII Open Internacional Valencia Cuna del Ajedrez – Grupo A and scored 6/9 and gained an ELO of 178.80. Immediately he went on to play the XXVI Obert Internacional Sant Martí 2026 Grup A from the 13th to the 21st of July, where he scored 6.5/9 and gained 181.6 ELO. With literally no rest, he played the 50 Open Internacional d’Escacs Vila de Sitges Grup A from the 22nd to the 30th of July and gained 92.8 ELO by scoring 5/9. What an incredible performance and resilience by the youngster to play twenty-seven games back-to-back.

Samuel is currently training with one of the most decorated coaches of the country, N.V.S Ramaraju, at the RACE Chess Academy who trained some of the strongest grandmasters of the country and we wish him the very best.
