Divyasree Kollipara from Bangalore, India, gains 183.6 ELO and crosses 2000 ELO in just thirty days and is the newest WCM from India. She played four tournaments back to back and gained a massive ELO. She started with the SPLIT OPEN – ŠAHOVSKI FESTIVAL 2026 from the 6th-14th August. She scored five points and gained 29.2 ELO. Then immediately from the very next day, she played the Oberbank-Challenger-Open 2026 from the 15th-23rd of August. She scored an impressive 4.5/9 and gained 78.4 ELO. With just a break of one day, she played the Internationales Sparkasse Baden Chess Open Königs-Turnier from the 25th-30th of August. She scored 3.5/7 and gained 32.4 ELO and the final tournament was the Escala Emporium Chess Open 2026 where she scored 5.5/9 and gained 43.6 ELO. That’s thirty five rated classical games within a span of thirty days and gaining a massive ELO of 183.6 ELO. Divyasree Kollipara began playing chess by the end of 2022 and has progressed rapidly in competitive chess within a short span of time. She began playing chess at the age of 10 and has progressed rapidly, achieving podium finishes in national tournaments and delivering strong performances against titled players including Woman Grandmasters and Woman International Masters. Recently she has delivered an outstanding performance in the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2026, Sri Lanka in under 14 Girls category and won Bronze medal in Classical Championship and Silver medal in Rapid Chess Championship for India. She is not only amazing at chess but also great at studies. She is a student of the Vibgyor High , Kadugodi Branch, Bangalore ( CISCE Syllabus) and has been immensely supported by her school and principal K. Prashantha mam. She has worked extensively with coaches CM FI Saketh Pedagandham, GM Lalith babu, IM Srinath Rao and IM Swayangsu Satyapragyan.
