The fourth edition of the Quantbox Chennai Grand Masters, India’s strongest classical chess tournament, is all set to begin on July 16th, 2026. This year, the line up is by far the strongest ever with some of the biggest names in the world of chess battling it out for the championship. July 16th to 22nd, the world would witness some of the finest chess players playing India’s strongest classical tournament in Chennai, the home of Indian chess. With the biggest names of the chess world fighting it out for glory, the fans can expect nothing but pure thrill. With a prize fund of a whopping Rs. 75,00,000, seven rounds of classical chess (90m + 30sec increment) will be played in a round robin format where each player will get a chance to play against every player in the tournament.
