About Us

The GyanMaster is the brainchild of Aditya Sur Roy who is a passionate story teller and someone who loves documenting moments. Having working extensively in the corporate from top IT giants to major commercial banks, Aditya made a big decision of leaving everything behind and explore the world of chess.

Aditya has covered over one hundred National and International events as a part of ChessBase India, one of the biggest chess organisations of the World. In May 2026, Aditya took another major decision of starting something of his own. Something he do purely out of his passion, his love for story-telling and the love for the game of chess.

GyanMaster is a title he coined when he was exploring some ideas about titles that go closest to the word Grandmaster and then suddenly one day GyanMaster was born. What started as a small passion project is slowly building up to create a identity of its own. We have over 2100 followers on Facebook, 2400 subscribers on Youtube and around 5000 followers of Instagram combining both the accounts of Aditya Sur Roy and The GyanMaster.

Our goal is simple. To give a platform to the players who and their achievements often go unnoticed my most big houses as they may not be enough for them to highlight, At the GyanMaster, every chess player is equal and our attention will always be the same towards every player and their stories.

In this short time, we have had many success stories including a sponsorship deal to run the GyanMaster by Maestro Chess Academy and also our subscribers in Facebook. We has also raised sponsorship for a talented youngster CM Kolla Bhavaan after we cover his story. Our promise is that we will continue to cover more stories and bring more talents to the world and give them a platform.
